2008 Governor General’s Medal in Architecture
Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre wins Canada’s highest architectural award.
The Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre recently received the 2008 Governor General’s Medal in Architecture. Presented by the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada and the Canada Council for the Arts, this award is the highest level of acknowledgment in Canada that a building can receive. Only 12 medals are awarded across the country every two years.
This project’s recognition demonstrates the value of a truly integrated architectural and mechanical engineering effort.
