Kwantlen Polytechnic University – Buildings A and C

Targeting LEED Platinum, this new and energy efficient facility incorporates a wealth of sustainable design features.

In Brief:

Buildings A and C are located at the very heart of the Kwantlen Polytechnic University campus in Surrey, BC. Creating an essence for architectural modernism, the 3-storey Building A was renovated and expanded by an additional 56,170 ft2 which features a unique architectural and comfortable space for successful learning.The
3-storey Building C, which houses classrooms, student services and amenities, faculty and administration offices, will be expanded by 46,600 ft2.

As part of the sustainable master plan, the new building was built to inspire academic excellence and encourage environmental responsibility to current and future generations. Using the integrated design process, the entire design team worked together to achieve a high performance and cost-effective building. Cultivating a memorable sense of place, the building serves as a model for all future buildings on the university campus.
