Sherbourne Common, a stunning new waterfront park in Toronto, officially opened on July 26, 2011. The new $28.7M public green space is located in a former industrial area along Lake Ontario and offers year round amenities for locals and tourists. The park features a children’s playground, a skating rink that acts as a splash pad in the summer, a zinc-clad Pavilion and a spectacular water channel with striking art sculptures.
Cobalt provided mechanical engineering consulting services for the award winning Pavilion at Sherbourne Common, which is the first park to incorporate an ultraviolet (UV) facility for neighbourhood-wide stormwater treatment.
