Dean Cumberbirch, Associate

Building on over 30 years of sound industry experience, Dean has been involved in some of the largest projects across the country. He combines his background in mechanical design with solid project management skills to deliver the best solutions for every project, while respecting budgetary and time constraints.

Founded upon traditional business values, Dean holds great pride in the quality of his work. As a true project manager, he provides a single point of accountability for the client, improving communications and providing the ultimate responsibility for every aspect of the project. Managing both large and small projects, Dean coordinates every member of the production team to work in synchronicity to achieve optimal results.

Dean’s design philosophy is to create better buildings that reduce their demand on the local infrastructure. As a LEED Accredited Professional, Dean strives to incorporate sustainable solutions whenever possible. Despite the large scale of some of his projects, he has successfully championed the incorporation of a variety of green technologies, such as heat recovery, ground water heat pumps, and over one million square feet of raised floor systems.

Dean is definitely a big picture thinker. His creativity enables him to think outside the box and to excel at delivering unique solutions to specialty projects. From the Vancouver Airport to the Vancouver Convention Centre Expansion, he has become an authority on successfully managing some of Canada’s most important civic buildings.
