Mamood Venkataya, Senior Partner

“Continued success is founded upon perpetual change… in the form of evolution.”

Mamood brings 20 years of experience to the Cobalt Team. He has been instrumental in guiding the company’s success as a member of the executive leadership team since 1994. Guided by a personal commitment to sustainable growth, he has spearheaded a tremendous amount of solid organizational expansion.

Mamood’s project experience is focused on building systems designs, including the design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. In addition to his extensive experience in Canada, he has also gained worldly experience, having successfully completed an extension to the Canadian High Commission complex in New Delhi, India.

Mamood has a passion for improving what already exists, and naturally gravitates toward retrofit projects and building audit studies. Firmly understanding the demands of time and budget, he acts as the principal liaison for fast-track projects and is one of the key prime consultants for large-scale mechanical renovation projects.

With a pulse on the current market place, Mamood continuously advances his knowledge of sustainable technologies and their applications. He embraces the challenge of combining green technologies with traditional building systems to achieve synergies between man and nature. Some of his recent projects include the Richmond and Sea Island Firehalls, Regent College, and the Montenay/GVRD Office Building, which feature a number of passive, renewable, and integrated active mechanical solutions.
