Lane Logan recently joined Cobalt as a Project Manager for the Kelowna and Prince George Offices. His extensive background working with a variety of projects in the Interior enables him to better understand the unique requirements of the local climate. Focused on sustainability, Lane brings considerable experience with renewable energy technologies. He has designed power distribution systems for photovoltaics and wind generation systems, in addition to conducting various feasibility studies for water turbine systems throughout the province.

As a Senior Project Engineer, Lane has assumed full responsibility for the design and implementation of a diverse range of projects, including institutional, municipal, industrial, and commercial sectors. His work includes conceptual design, cost estimating, final design, tender drawings along with specifications, construction inspection services, and commissioning.

Lane’s design philosophy is closely in line with the principles found in nature. He strongly believes that lighting designs should work in conjunction with natural light, accentuate architectural design, and enhance occupant comfort. Although he is committed to energy efficiency, his goals extend beyond that. He designs proactive power systems to avoid potential power spikes or voltage fluctuations that could negatively impact building operations, productivity, and profits.
